Wherever the rough Diamond is extracted from natural sources, whether they are alluvial or primary, you will always find a Diamond trade center (or market place) in these producing countries. The traditional Diamond Bourses will be found in cities such as Antwerp, New York City, Tel-Aviv and by extension, Geneva where many of the investors are based. Emerging Diamond Bourses, in Dubai, Hong-Kong, Shanghai, and Mumbai will complete the network of the Diamond trading hubs worldwide. Broadly speaking each Diamond Bourse, also acts as a Diamond cutting center. Once polished, the Diamonds reach jewelry manufacturing workshops and factories, which are located in close proximity to the world jewelry retail markets.

And so goes the Diamond trade, which is by its very nature universal. Without compiling an exhaustive list of all the economies in the world affected by the Diamond industry, be assured that my competences in rough and polished Diamonds are available to you throughout the five continents, wherever your interests are in the world :

Rough Diamonds are mainly produced on four continents, Russia, Canada, Australia and in several countries in Africa.

Investors and buyers of rough and polished Diamonds, please remember: the only means to determine the sincerity and precision of a Diamond manifest is to examine the goods during the Investment Meeting. Or better still, before the stones leave their country of origin. Both scenarios require that you allocate a small financial investment. The cost of an Investment Meeting “at home” where your activities are taking place, generally amounts to several times the price of the same task taking place in the country of origin of the stones. In fact, to make the trip directly on-the-spot gives you a greater flexibility. That way you can compare, reject and propose an offer for the goods of your choice. That also allows you to validate the legitimacy of your Diamond supply.

In certain cases, during the purchase of rough Diamonds (not so much with polished Diamonds), it can be slightly hazardous to go to the producing countries. It really depends on the destination itself. You can travel to a country of supply said to be “tricky” without any big risks. But for this, you will need a good understanding of the country and to acknowledge that you have taken the time to verify the legitimacy of your suppliers. It does not matter if you buy Diamonds based on The RAPAPORT Report or on The ADTEC, above all, experience and wisdom are most valuable.
